Screening for Plagiarism Policy
IMANENSA: Journal of Theology & Multidisciplinary Studies is committed to maintaining academic integrity by ensuring that all published articles are original and free from plagiarism.
1. Plagiarism Screening
-
All submitted manuscripts are screened using digital plagiarism detection tools, such as Turnitin or iThenticate.
-
The maximum similarity index allowed is 20%, excluding properly cited quotations and references.
-
Manuscripts with evidence of significant plagiarism will be rejected without further peer review.
2. Author Responsibilities
-
Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original works and have not been published elsewhere.
-
Authors must provide proper citation and references for all ideas, theories, data, or materials sourced from other works.
-
Any form of plagiarism, whether intentional or unintentional, may result in article retraction and/or a ban from future publication in the journal.
3. Handling Suspected Violations
-
The editor will investigate any suspected plagiarism cases.
-
If confirmed, the manuscript will be rejected, and authors may be given a chance to provide clarification if appropriate.
-
The final decision regarding plagiarism violations rests with the Editorial Board.
This policy ensures that the journal maintains high academic standards and safeguards the scientific credibility of each publication.
